DD22 is about the Dead Sea Scrolls, which have been exciting, refined(?), forehistory, full archaeology. And we can actually see them on the internet.

the Dead Sea Scrolls → 死海古卷

The project will be finished in 2016.
→ 【边听边记】 put online, will be scuceeded

The project thatto】 put 【them】 online will be suspectedis expected】 to succeedbe completedin 【by】 2016.

    • to 听成了 that;
    • 没听出 them 的存在;
    • 听到了 "-pected" 这个音,将 is expected 听做了 suspected,脑补了 will be;
    • succeed 是根据语意写的

The project to put them online is expected to be completed by 2016.

is expected to → the same as "is thought to be", "is anticipated to"

no consonant connect the words → 单词之间没有辅音相连。

2016 → especially when we talked about the street address in American style, or the year, we pair the numbers, we put two and two together.

Daily Dictation 23

DD23 is about SAT exam(Scholastic Aptitude Test), which is a college entrance exam. In America, if want to attend an university, you need to pass the SAT exam. There is another common exam called ACT. While some college don't need an entrance exam, such as Harvard University. So some really good universities, don't need your SAT, and some really bad universities, don't care if you pass the SAT, they just wants your money.

A couple of stupid American, who are very wealthy children, were cheating on the SAT exam, then they got caught, got busted —— somebody found them —— and now they have a problem, they're going to the courts. Probably they need to do the SAT exam again and will never be allowed to a good university.

SAT exam (Scholastic Aptitude Test)
confess → 坦白 I confessed that I have cheated when I was in high school.

(a very long conversation, and more than four times chances for us to listen)

【边听边记】 scandle, SAT exam, at least 6 students.
There was a scandle about the SAT exam, and at least 6 students were caught.
Another, cheating covered on xxx university,

AndAnanotheralleged SAT cheating】 scandle of the SAT exam about cheating covered onhas been uncovered at a prestigious】 long island xxx university, high school.
the police has caught atThis college student is accused of taking the】 colleage entrance exam 【for】 at least 6 students.

词汇方面,alleged、prestigious 不认识,be uncovered at 和 be accused of 这个搭配不熟悉。

An alleged SAT cheating scandal has been uncovered at a prestigious Long Island high school. This college student is accused of taking the college entrance exam for at least 6 students.
